Comments: Columbus, Ohio Can Go Straight To Hell

So I wonder, just in the cause of promoting civil tranquility, though I am not a resident of Ohio nor live in Colombus....I wonder if i should try to register my AR with them? Or maybe send in the numbers for all the US army rifles when we are training soldiers near Ohio. That might be fun. I DO want their database to be relevant and accurate.

I live in Ohio in a suburb to the Columbus .

Insert tongue in cheek

Every day for the last four months I have read in the Columbus Dispatch that yet another police officer (that would be 122 cops) had been cut down with a rifle. Each and every time the gun was found to have either a handle for the off-shooting hand or a thumbhole stock. Both of these features are called out as making a rifle an assault weapon. Had this ban been in place the whole time these 122 cops would be alive today!

Remove tongue from cheek

Actually there have been no police killed with 'assault' weapons in Columbus that I know of. Yet the City Council says the "police fear these weapons".

They can have my AK47 with thumbhole stock when they pry it off my dead cold thumb.

Just what exactly is an "assault weapon"? I know of NO gun manufacturers which use such a term to describe any of their products. It is a vague term used by liberal anti-gunners to create fear in the hearts of the gun ignorant public. Remember a true Sturmgewehr or "assault rifle" is selective fire, not semi-auto only.

The troubling part about the registration process is that the registration becomes part of the public record. (Where is homeland security here?). Which effectively means that any thug or terrorist for that matter, with a shopping list can now narrow down their search to the correct address and know exactly what they will find in the menu!!
