Comments: Brokitude

My parents had me when my father was in school on the GI Bill. They were determined that my mother would stay home with me, so he was also working a couple of other different jobs. My mother has this story of "paying me off" at the hopsital in installments.

For some reason that strikes me really funny.

I have my own days of budgeting so I could only drink water with my meals and buying just about everything on coupons, but I've probably never been "broke" or "poor" - just money mindful.

We were the same... times when meals were rice, milk, sugar, and cinnamon. But we were never poor either.
