Comments: Crook Returns

That's gotta be a parody right? I mean "Wow, 22k a year!" Isn't that close to what a wal-mart clerk makes? I'll be making three times that upon graduation, and nobody's gonna be shooting at me!

If ONLY it WERE parody Phnx, unfortunately, Mike Crook is deadly serious. We ignore his hatemongering at our peril.

Two comments; I tried to link from your page and access was denied, so I think they know that you aren't saying nice things about them, and rather than try to defend the position, they simply ban anyone linking from this site. Second, and more important, thank you for pointing out some of the more tangible benefits that we give up to serve our country in the military. I know for a fact that I can make well over $100,000.00/yr doing my job in the civilian market. I have friends that used to have the same MOS as I, with comparable time in service and time in grade, and 3 that I have talked to are now making at least $120,000.00 per year. I have more civilian education than any of them, so I know that my prospects are bright, should I decide to get out. I chose to enlist, actually to re-enlist after a six year break, because I know that we are doing the right thing here in Iraq, and we are finally starting to turn away from the path of the Clinton nightmare. This Crook yahoo is a POS.

I have two sons in the 101st, one in the 82nd, and I served with the 25th in Vietnam. Crook is as important as a filled fart in a latrine; no serviceman would walk three paces to piss on him if he was on fire. Let him talk.
