Comments: Not Running from Wilma

Flattered to be included :-)

Posted by Harvey at October 22, 2005 09:21 PM

We haven't put ours up either. The only advantage I saw of putting them up yesterday was it will probably be raining a lot today. You won't get as wet. ;-)

Here in not-so-sunny SoFla, we are hunkered down and ready to roll with the punches. Great idea on the graphic, and this North Miami girl would love to be included.

Be safe!

Wow! You added me fast! Yay for me and thanks!

The sun is now shining here in SoFla. Go figure!

Well, we're praying for y'all again from here in Texas.

Hi I live in Sarasota,Florida and no rain yet over here. Just a very cloudy sky.
Funny thing is my husband and I moved here from Malibu,Ca. You know the land of fires, mudslides and earthquakes. This is our second year now in Florida so I am learning fast what Hunker down means.

Miami blogger here. We put up plywood on my back sliding door only because our tree on our apartment patio barely made it through Katrina.

Hello! I'm a Florida Keys blogger. Doyle stopped by my blog and pointed me in this direction.

I think someone should pitch this as a story to the newscasters. "Florida Residents Blog About Hurricanes" It will give the media something else to talk about than the cone of error, steering currents, wind sheer, computer models, etc.

Love the map!

I came here by way of "Straight White Guy". Consider yourself blogrolled. I'm blogging from the Fort Liquordale area.

My blog is not strictly about Florida, but I'm from there.

Came here via Sticks of Fire in Tampa. Just looking out the window and searching for tornados. No different than any other rainy evening...

Posted by kate at October 23, 2005 10:30 PM

Came via Sticks of Fire. I'm in Sarasota, I did not evac. I'm about 50 miles north of the target zone of Naples.
I'm not shuttered up but have supplies.
We're suppoed to feel gusts of up to 75-80 mph starting sometime around 2-3 am.

Best of luck--I lost my house in Ivan...

I think I've added everyone as of 2:21PM EST.

Going to bed. We're shuttered and ready. As I said, if it was coming in as a Cat 3, we were boarding up. It is and we are.

I'm in Miami. www.swlip.com.

I'll add you to my blogroll just as soon as TypePad is working again. (Those folks are in CA, and they can't stay up and running while I'm trying to blog in the middle of a cat-3 hurricane. Wimps.)

I'm in Bayonet Point, FL.

You all be careful! I live up here in the panhandle and I know what you're going through.

MSGT Keith is in Port St. Lucie.

Last I heard, his power went out at around 9:30am today. I'm sure he'll post about it when they get power back. Recent estimates have about 3/4's of ALL of FPL's clients w/o power- the worst outage in Florida history. *grump*

Wow...there ARE more people that know I exist, other than my family, of course.

High and dry again. I scoff at Mother Nature. Cool map, Bou.

Oh, I see, Harvey get's on the "map", but not me?
I visit, I break bread with you, I entertain the kids (even allowing a photo), I even blogged from Florida! Geeze...
(just kidding - I don't want the traffic.)
