Comments: Scraping the Bottom of the Paint Can

Are you going to do a photo album or anything?
I would love to see what it looks like!

Congratulations! I'm also glad to know that even the good stuff requires a second coat. I always wonder if paying more for the paint would save me time, though that hasn't been the case with the top Porter paint we've tried.

I honestly do not believe in one-coat paint. I think there are some colors in some paints that can give you a fairly even first coat, but if you want it to look really good, I think it always needs at least two coats. The expensive paint was worth it to me, because it is very hard and scrubbable and because it is low odor and low-VOC.

Oh and Mary, yes, I am going to eventually take photos. I have been awful about taking photos or downloading the photos I have taken. I do need to do that though. Don't get the impression that our house is really perfect, clean or something worth paying to see on a home tour though. We are honestly on it because they didn't have enough other volunteers.

Congrats!! I hope your hubby knows he won the wife jackpot. I'm not letting mine know that other women climb stepladders and paint while pregnant with 3 additional little ones running around!
