Violence to violets!

I've heard that if you pick them early enough, you can make a salad out of dandelion greens. I think I'll let somebody else try that out first, though.

My girls LOVE dandelions.
We have next to none but clover everywhere.

Huge tufts of it are all over the backyard.

Wild onions?

Why would you want to get rid of those? Aren't they useful?

Not particularly useful, unless you like having random tufts sticking up all over your yard (they grow faster than grass) and having the scent of onion linger in the air after you mow the lawn. And for full disclosure purposes, I will say that I tried chopping one up like chives and it did not yield the necessary yummy, chivy flavor desired.

If you continue to feel dandelion withdrawal, consider yourself permanently invited to come over and deal with our lot.

I love our violets. They're too pretty to expend major effort trying to extirpate them!!
