Comments: Decisions....

Nix on the bicycle, you need some serious wheels! Other than that, I have no opinion. I'd take any of them or then again, all of them.

I'm a 4 door 4x4 Tacoma fan myself. Once I trade in my beat up old faithful S-10 Blazer, thats what I will be trying to get my feet in to.

I don't know... I like the Jag. But I think just because it's my favorite color.

God, I'm such a girl....

Posted by Richmond on May 24, 2006 03:17 PM

My in-lawstest-drove the Jag and said the ride SUCKED. They got a Lexus Hybrid instead. Now the y love the Lexus.

Posted by Walrilla on May 24, 2006 03:44 PM

In this order: S-4, A-4, Jag, Bike...but you are correct about the fact that your car really isn't broken in yet.

Posted by Blackfive on May 24, 2006 04:08 PM

Love the new A-4 look. And I too have heard that the jaguar is not the feisty cat of old...

How about a motorcycle?

Posted by caltechgirl on May 24, 2006 04:11 PM

.. I'd be dead in a week if I bought a motorcycle, Caltechgirl... trust me...

... right on, Matt...

.. I'm sticking with American or European, Walrilla...

... they make them in lots of colors, Richmond... and it's ok to be a girl...

..if I had a 4X4, Bloodspite, people would want me to haul things for them.. that is too much like work...

... and Junebugg, I could not agree more... I want them both..

Posted by Eric on May 24, 2006 04:17 PM

I love the Jags but they just aren't so practical. Go with another Audi.

My .02 worth

Posted by Tammi on May 24, 2006 04:31 PM

Just never could get too excited about an automobile..but now a pickem uptruck..thats different. My Dodge has all the bells and buttons you would find in an automobile including the air cushion thing for my back and electric adjustable seats plus I can haul a couple of yards of mulch or a yard or so of top soil in the back. The only reason it doesn't have a gun rack is because it is a four door and it is too far to reach back for my shotgun anyway.

Posted by GUYK on May 24, 2006 05:28 PM

I personally like my truck. F350, fire engine red 4X4 diesel.

Posted by oddybobo on May 24, 2006 05:54 PM

Why a 4-door? Why not go with something fun in a 2-door?

Posted by drc on May 24, 2006 06:17 PM

Audi. I'm a reliability kind 'o gal and Audi is a great car.

To hell with all that crap!
#1. 1973 El Dorado convertible.
#2. 1969 Trans Am
#3. Any year VW van.

Take it from a gearhead who knows. Stay the fuck away from anything that says Jaguar or Land Rover. Unless of course you like paying out massive bucks for constant service......

Got a buddy in the service dept of the local Jag/Land Rover dealer. Believe me when I say it's junk with a capital J.

Posted by bitterman on May 24, 2006 09:47 PM

Of course, a '69 XKE MkII 6 cylinder would be a nice alternative (screw the V-12 unless you are a real sucker for tuning conundrums). The E-Type as close to sex in sheet metal as the modern day auto industry has ever gotten. Plus you could actually work on the piece of shit......cuz it will break.....cuz it's a Jag and they suck. But the shortcomings are totally nulled out by the body shape.

White Boy --

Ah, do whatever you want. A car is just a car. By the way, welcome home.

Eric,
I have a 1995 Chevy Blazer and a 1988 Chevy C1500. Can't help you on this one.

Posted by Jerry on May 25, 2006 12:22 AM

Get a Ford Explorer 8 cylinder and you will never want to drive another vehicle. It's not great on gas and there is the Ford maintenance factor - but for the unemployed (or is it "self-employed?") you shouldn't be racking up the miles anyway.

Rides like a damn Lexus but you're four feet higher up; if you want to grab a new wheelbarrow, stack of bricks or drum set on the way home just toss it in the back; if you get hit by an ice storm you'll still have ample egress from the compound; and in any SHTF situation you can toss all the guitars and prized collection of single-malt in the back and still have room for your wife and all her stuff.

But the ride is the kicker. Great back support. A total Roger Miller King of the Road feeling. It's the most comfortable thing I've ever driven.

Choices, damn that is a very hard life you have old buddy. Stay away from the Jag, piece of shit. Get a BMW or a Harley.

Posted by Catfish on May 25, 2006 09:29 AM

I would go with the Jag, what Bitterman says isn't true.

But you need the big engine and the sport model, cause the other models just don't do it.

Of course though I always go where my priorities lie.

Posted by Quality Weenie on May 25, 2006 11:26 AM

Yea whatever, douchebag.

Anyone even wishing they could pay that much for a fucking Ford platform scattered with enough Lucas parts just to make it a worthless hunk of undependable "British" shiite needs a comprehensive work up.

The S-type Jag is nothing more than a Lincoln LS with a kitty cat on the hood, dimwit.

Posted by bitterman on May 25, 2006 11:49 AM

Fuck the Jag. Fuck the BMW. Fuck the Audi. Buy a Mercedes. Seriously!!! The real Ride.

Posted by Yabu on May 26, 2006 12:08 AM

I've never heard anything good about a Jag and have known 2 people who've owned them only to get rid of them as fast they could...

We went looking at cars last night and I'm drooling over the Chrysler Pacifica but don't know anything about them................
