Comments: Impersonal Gifts

Well, personally I prefer cash as a graduation/wedding gift. For birthdays, yeah, something different would be nice, but I'm the kind of person who buys stuff if they want it so it's rare that I'm given something I want/don't already have.

If you get married, I'll be giving you cash. Fuck the stuff on your registry. I know you can just trade that stuff back in for store credit. With cash, you can tip the bellhops when you are on your honeymoon.

You could just be happy that people felt enough of you to give you a gift, regardless of what it is, and realize that you ended the day with more than you began with.

I once felt sorry for someone who didn't like the gift her Dad got her, until I met someone who's Dad was dead and gone.
