Here is the thing. Bush does not know how to use words, so he uses bombs (and ecourages his proxies to use bombs) instead.

The trouble is bombs only give the momentary appearance of doing the job. In fact they create more problems than they solve.

Hmm...I can remember two bombs in particular that gave more than a momentary appearence of doing the job. One call Fat Man and one called Little Boy.

Diplomacy only works if you have another means of coercion. Be it military or economic sanctions you need the iron fist and the velvet glove.
