Thanks for the link. I actually thought of this when Saddam was done swinging and all the brouhaha started. It angers me to no end to see how we’ve become such delicate, PC wimps in this country that when the Butcher of Baghdad is finally sent to his maker and people are worried that it didn’t meet some standard. Who cares, good riddance a –hole.

Fred Barnes of the The Weekly Standard went off on Fox Sat. on the News Hour when the other guest were opining about the taunting at the hanging by the Shiites and the bad impression it conveyed to the Sunnis. He basically said, (paraphrasing) “So what! The Sunnis minority ran that country with an iron fist and brutalized the majority Shiites. Who cares if the Sunnis are offended, they are responsible for a lot of the insurgency and they need to be put down and squashed to end the bloodshed that is happening there everyday. Let them be offended.”

The media, including South Park, built old crazy Saddam into such a charicature and such a character that I couldn't help but feel a little sad while reading the newspaper about his death.

Like I said, "delicate, PC wimps".

Any man's death diminishes me, because I am involved in mankind; and therefore never send to know for whom the bell tolls; it tolls for thee.
