Apparently he missed the biggest and most obvious lessons to be learned from Iraq:

- The American people will not support a war based upon lies.

- An illegal, immoral and unjust war forces warriers to make compromises on morality. That is never a good thing for those with sound moral values. (For the others it doesn't matter.)


These are tough but important lessons that every soldier should take to heart.

I thought of something else for Varifranks to add to his clever analogy between Bosnia and Iraq: Bosnia was in a sectarian civil war that we didn't start. Iraq is in a sectarian civil war that we did start. Ooops.
