Comments: A Query for My Readers

Was it a chinese crested? It is the same breed as the world's ugliest dog seen here.

Wow. That's a funky looking dog. Nope, its not it. It's face was like a bat... small snout. And there was no long fur. Its fur was truly shiny and silky and short like a dobie.

If you are making any cracks about my dogs I swear I will come down there and beat you ;P

What kind of a black or brown was it?

Italian Greyhounds have very long legs and some time bat ears and short hair.

IG's don't have a true brown but they do have a seal black color.

I was walking my girl once and someone asked if it was a puppy dobbie ....

No, your dogs aren't ugly and they don't look like bats. These dogs may actually have the same type of fur your dogs have... its that silky short fur. the legs are crazy long though and the body... you know the body is not lean like your puppies. It actually had a stocky body on these long ass legs. It was part of what made it look bizarre. And as I said, the face was SMALL and there was not the longish snout that your puppies have. It had this tiny little face... like a bat.

One was seal black and the other chocolate brown.

I'm going to bet it was a French Bulldog mixed breed. The giveaway is the bat-ears....typical of a french bulldog....but the long legs part is not.
Did it have a pug nose or long nose?

Rave- I'm sitting here talking to Mr. T. OK. They had small pointy noses, LONG legs, stocky body, but NOT as stocky as a French bulldog. (We just looked it up) The ears are smaller than that of a French Bulldog and had a bend in them like a bats. The face and ears really really looked like a bat. He says the tail was short and stubby.

I'm thinking it was some sort of bulldog mix though, although bulldogs are HUGE and these dogs were not.

Mr. T and I are now thinking it may be some sort of Terrier Whippet mix. The legs were Whippet. The face... maybe JRT mix. We keep searching.

I was going to say if it had really long legs it has to have some type of sitehound in it, as far as I know sitehounds are the only ones with really long legs.

Has to be a mix ...

Although my doggies have ears like you describe, they do funky stuff all the time, Maggie especially gets bat ears with the tips folded over a lot.
