Hube, you assume Ahmadinejad speaks for Iranians. No, he speaks only for Iran, like George Bush speaks for America, not necessarily for Americans.

"But the worry isn't that Iran would be silly enough to launch an ICBM at the US (mainly since it wouldn't even have that capability for some time), but that it would use its nukes against Israel."

Have you not realized, Hube, that an attack on Israel is an attack on us? That's a deterrent.

Israel is well armed with nuclear armaments and delivery capabilities, that's a deterrent as well.

According to The Observer, we have collaborated with Israel to deploy US-supplied cruise missiles armed with nuclear warheads in Israelís fleet of submarines, giving the Middle Eastís only nuclear power the ability to strike at any of its Arab or Persian neighbors.

So it all comes down to who is more trustworthy, Israel or Iran. I'll let the reader make that determination.

Nevertheless, is it any wonder that Iranian leaders would seek nuclear bomb and delivery capability? Were you Iranian, wouldn't you?

Re Ahmadinejad's extreme language, this kind of worrisome rhetoric emanates from Israel too, for example, that from certain religious elements in Israel when Sharon was giving back Gaza, motivating the settlers to resist with great passion based on religious belief.

This attitude goes back to previous justifications for territorial acquisition in past decades, even centuries.

Your rhetoric and attitude, Hube, are along these same lines, correct? This kind of instinctive extremism, whether it be Ahmadinejad or people like you Hube, none of it lessens tensions, it exacerbates them and leads to the use of violence/terrorism, on both sides. That's what's happened, and it is a continuing problem! I think Sharon came to realize that, but too late, as his body and mind gave out too soon. A real shame!

Hube, seek after avenues for peace, not more terror and war.

Peace!!!

PS: The reason I had to break up this response was that your spam filter would not let my original piece past it. Apparently it had to do with a reference to an ADL quote which contained the word "halachically"

That's all we need to hear, Perry. It speaks volumes.

"That's all we need to hear, Perry. It speaks volumes."

Perhaps so Hube; and your responses speak volumes about you, you who continually refuses to engage on points made, rather dismisses and responds with your usual ad hominems, demonstrating your weaknesses and tyrannical inclinations over and over and over again. You have yet to realize this!

Meanwhile, our good buddies in Pakistan are building a new reactor, most likely for producing weapons grade plutonium. Sure, the Pakis and the Indians have had nukes and delivery capacity for years, and have yet to exchange them with each other, but you never know. Take a good look at Ahmadinejihad, on the other hand, and you know he might just be nuts enough to pop one off.

Which demonstrates all the more clearly, G Rex, how important it is to work diplomatically toward global unification about the nuclear threat issue.

Under Cheney/Bush, we have become one of the rogue nations in the eyes of other nations who cannot trusted us as much these days as before.

Meanwhile we pass additional nuclear bomb technology to India, and use spent nuclear in Gulf War I and the current war.

As a result, I note that we are seeing the start of another nuclear arms race. This is not in our best interests, in my view.

I defend Iran's Rights to ALL defensive weapons as I defend my own rights to the same! The government has disarmed me and in so doing made me a "potential" target of any Thug, gang, or government scumbag that decides they want to run rough-shot over me!

Only weapons- and in this day and age that means the private ownership of NBC/WMD types, can I maintain my Freedom from all would-be takers!

Anyone my age (46) can see the changes in this Country over the past 35 or so years; and the started with the most Treacherous Traitor to ever Hold office (FDR, followed by Lincoln).

If my own government can in a manner of decades "legally" sieze all my rights and subjugate me under them- then I can only guess at want they do to other Perople's in other Nations???

Ourt government is a Secret- therefore inherently dangerous and Evil government, and I'll be the first to admit that it needs :Radical Change!"

If Washington, Jefferson, Thomas, or any or all of this Nations Founding Fathers were alive today- THEY, not me, would be the most vocal and "Highest" and the "Terrorist Watch Lists."

Whern the government places its security, its freedoms, and its rights above above the govered it is Time to annilihate that government (at the first opportuiny! That's not radicalism, terrorism, or any sort of that non-sense--- THAT IS AMERICANISM AT IT VERY CORE!!!

ps: forgive my misspellings- I am NOT a secretary; nor do I feel like reviewing,...
