Comments: It's a Wonderful Day in My Neighborhood

BR and I love you too, Bou. Thank you for your kind words, and thanks for meeting us today. And we would love seeing you (and maybe more of your family) again.

(Was the movie really okay? Buck is really wanting me to take him to see it...maybe I'll hit the matinée and then I won't feel like I've wasted TOO much money. Ahh, the things we do for our kids.)

I almost ended up bringing a couple boys with me, but luckily there was someone at home! But yes, next time, maybe we can do family together.

It is matinee material. It really is not that bad. The previews were worse than the movie. The kids really did like it... and I'd liken it to maybe a lesser kid movie like Wargames when we were teenagers.

My husband's brother's brush with fame was when the MGM lion peed in his mouth. Never open your mouth to say, "Look at the lion!" Or if you do, stand well back!

I'll have to ask him if it was spicy.

I'm really happy you were able to get together with Mrs_Who and BR. They do sound like wonderful people.

As for the Transformers movie - I'm waiting until it's out on DVD - the movie theaters suck pond water around here so since we have our bright shiny new television - if I can get surround sound - I'm never going to the theater again. Heh. I can always wait to see a movie. But I'm still glad for the review because the commercials really do suck.

Mrs. Who is wonderful. I didn't get the opportunity to meet her other half.

It was my intention to concur with you how nice it has been to meet a few bloggers, some very far, a few very close. Until I was absolutely blindsided by that last parenthetical statement.

Do I wanna know? Uhm, no. Not really.

I'm finally back online (well, sort of - I've been horking around with my PCs again), and I wanted to add to Mrs. Who's earlier comment... It was *wonderful* meeting you, Bou! Blew me away that little ol' you came straight up and gave me a hug. I must not be as scary looking as I had first thought! I laughed when MW told you "I'll be the short brunette with the tall BALD guy." Gah!

Oh, and if at any time I just looked at you confused or nodded and smiled dumbly, I apologize. I didn't mention that I can't hear so well sometimes, and the acoustics at Chili's were awful...

Thanks again so much for the treat, but I insist that next time (and there will be a next time!) it's on us! Don't worry about our travel - we're used to living in the sticks and driving a spell to get wherever we want to be. Perhaps we can round-out our respective clans for a larger meet, somehow...

Any bets as to how long it would take our collective broods to come-up with something so equally shocking as the urine-drinking conversation? ;)
