Comments: Random Thoughts on People

I heard some audio of the head protest slime's interview and if he's the leader, these are not the sharpest knives in the drawer... which would account for their narrow viewpoints and lack of sense.

IMO, the monetary fine is nothing. That doesn't hurt them... I'm with you, they should be sent somewhere else... maybe to live in osama's cave with him?

I think I gasped with you... The picture of the kids at the protest... awful, but even worse, the kids were smiling like they were having a good time.
I can't think of a worthy punishment for these people (at least a legal one)... Except that they like attention, so perhaps we need to still support PGR in their efforts to drown the protesters out, but from a media standpoint, ignore them.

I went on a pretty ugly tear in Teresa's comments this morning over the whole Fred Phelps mishegoss. The guy is a disgusting douchebag [doesn't merit being a "dooshbag"], who I would gladly take freaking down, and rip him to shreds with my bare hands.

For the life of me, I cannot understand the mindset of a group of people who call themselves "Christians" who would gather at the funeral of a fallen Marine, and insensitively proclaim in loud voices crap to the effect of 'the only good soldier is a dead soldier,' and "God hates fags."

I went red when I saw that. These are the freedoms -- this hateful, ugly douchbaggery -- our fearless, heroic members of the Armed Forces go to war against the terrorists to protect, so human buttplugs could convene and vomit forth their fringe ideas without regard for the heartbreak the family of Lance Cpl. Matthew Snyder will surely be going through for the rest of their lives.

I hope George Bush kicks these walking turds' asses. They need to die a Promethean death, chain their asses up against the side of a mountain in the arctic and let some ravenous beast slowly have at their internal organs.

It'd probably choke when it got to their hearts.

Pam- This low IQ deal with them does not surprise me. Holy crap. I can't believe anyone with an IQ higher than 60 would even give them the time of day. Pinheads, scary scary pinheads.

JCK- YES! The smiling children made my frickin' blood run cold. Holy crap.

Erica- I'm liking this Promethean death idea. Heh, I think you may have been channeling Dennis Miller! ;-)

There is a word to describe the head chairman. Unfortunately, I cannot use it on your blog. It does sound like she has a bad case of Bush Derangement Syndrome. There's a lot of that going around. I didn't realize that your economy was so bad. Here in Atlanta the economy is OK, we just don't have any water.

Phelps and his flock are buttheads and that's the nicest thing I can say about them.

Great interview with General Paul Tibbets.

It took me a while to understand their reasoning, too. I wish they could be jailed.

Our entire country seems to be losing common sense. To lay the blame at the feet of one man who has been "in control" for 7 years and to completely ignore those elected officials who are career politicans..30, 40 years...

Ugh. I really wish we could throw the whol lot out, go back to the Constitution and START OVER!

Ah, but General Tibbets loved the Buckeyes!

Denny- Yeah, our economy is bad, but we have water. Come March, our economy will be bad and we WON'T have water! Foreclosures and home owners insurance that has tripled is killing everyone.

Jody- Something, anything, to make them feel the pain they have caused. I think that's called 'revenge'. I'm cool with it.

Prestersean- NO! Say it isn't so!!! Gah! Well... I guess they can't all be perfect. Heh.

The woman sounds profoundly ignorant... not in the sense that she can't read or write, but in the sense of dealing with other people. It's all about her and what she thinks. Sheesh.

The religious nut cases - don't even try to understand them, there is no logic. This is simply a mean stupid man who has found a way to bring attention to himself. Sadly as far as the children go, kids will have fun no matter the circumstances, that's how they are. I just wonder what they will be like when they grow up. Remorseful? Even more hideously repulsive?

As for General Tibbets, I have always considered the man a hero. May he rest in peace. Thanks for the link to the interview!

There is no word revolting enough to describe the Phelps' thoughts and actions.

As to General Tibbets, you put it so well.

Hiya, I don't think we got the story of the protest at the funeral here, but just reading about it made my blood boil. How can people be that wrapped up in what they believe in that they lose the common decency of letting a family grieve in peace at a funeral??

and along with everything else that is so wrong and disrespectful about that whole situation, it also upsets me the number of people out there who see that on the news and seem to take it as "all Christians are that bigoted and believe this nonsense", I've more than once felt like I've had to not only try to defend my faith, but also the faith of any other legitimate Christian group out there, there doesn't seem to be a recognition that this a very small, very vocal, minority, and the beliefs they expose are not supported, let alone encouraged by any other church out there. heck, Phelps created his own church purely so that he could spout this venom and claim its church based without all the higher church organizations saying "excommunicated!",
it is wrong, it is sick, it makes you want to cry, but its not, thankfully, a widespread view. and certainly not a Christian one.

Arthur just turned 10! Had to watch the clock tick over to his birthday at the right time. Thanks for letting me celebrate it here!
