Comments: Just Plain Good Manners

"Ouch!", in many senses of the word.

Since her floor was not damaged, I'm sure Ringo's well-being is of little to no concern to her.

It wasn't even at her house. It was at the local community center. I think the floors may be cement...

I'd have called later in the same day. That's weird.

Yeah she's rude. You're right....

And I *WOULD* call just to "ease her mind".......

I just don't get people these days....

Oh that's *really* bad manners - good grief. I would at least have called to check on him...

I hope the headache is much better today.

o how rude

Posted by wRitErsbLock at December 10, 2007 12:10 PM

Well, since it was the Mom, I'll say it was rude. If it was the Dad, however, he might be calling you to let you know that his head didn't put a dent in the concrete floor...

She's an idiot. Anything you would say to her would go right over her head, so don't bother.

Heh. Maybe she's too busy praying that you won't sue her.

Manners? Manners? I'm sorry, you won't get much of them from Moronicus Americanicus, which this lady seems to be.

I'm afraid Elison's first line might be the point.

I've read lots of courtroom stories about lawsuits where the plaintiff says something like "If they'd only apologized....."

But lawyers tell people never to apologize for fear of it being used as admission of guilt in a lawsuit.

That mom might just be praying you son's injury was minor and that the next call she gets isn't from a lawyer.

Glad to hear he is OK.

No surprise about the mom though, I have a story I need to blog about parenting today... As in there are very few of us out here...

The first thing I thought of as a reason for her not calling other than just the definition of bitch is avoiding a law suit.

A friend of mine has a trampoline in her fenced in back yard. The kids were on it and a friend of her daughter's was doing stupid tricks, fell, and broke her leg.

My friend helped through the whole ordeal, went to the ER with them, checked in afterward, and ended up being sued.

I have a trampoline in my backyard. I make every parent sign a 'waiver' stating they understand their child may or may not be supervised and there IS a chance they will get hurt if used improperly and they WILL NOT sue me for it.

No child plays until the parent signs.

So far, it's worked out well.
