Comments: So What's In A (Politician's Middle) Name?

I'm trying to remember when in American history the name, or for that matter any nugget of personal information, of a presidential candidate or incumbent was fit for public knowledge but unfit for public discussion.

I can't think of a single thing about Republicans.

As far as democrats, the only thing that comes to mind is FDR's reliance on a wheelchair, and JFK's whores. Some scandal involving Andrew Jackson's wife Rachel.

Those aside, as far as my memory can discern, if we know about it we get to repeat it over and over again. Regardless of our motives or the forum. PERIOD. Public view is public view.
