Comments: Slings

A few months!? That's crazy talk. I too would get about 18 months per child with a sharp drop off in use at about a year. I loved my sling, it was so versatile and easy to use.

I'm glad to hear that from you. I've read the same sort of thing elsewhere. No one I know IRL has done the sling thing, but I think it sounds brilliant.

Thanks for visiting too. :)

Anything super mass produced like a snugli or a nojo or infantino sling is uncomfortable once you hit 18 lbs.

BTW, I think you'd be a great candidate for a mei tai or a soft structured carrier to distribute the weight over both shoulders if you use your sling a lot. :)

I loved using the Ellaroo Mei Tai with my daughter. As she got older I'd put her on my back. We always had fun and it was easier than a stroller with her. But she soon figured out walking and running was much better than being stuck on mom. I know a few moms who never use slings or carriers and I always wonder why not. They are the best.
