We're fucked!

the Republicans will try to keep the focus on things like flag lapels and Wright but the American people do not seem to be responding.

Who doesn't have someone close to them who is rather nuts? The Wright thing is nothing more than a distraction.

Distraction? Can you imagine if Wright was the head of a white seperatist church? He is an anti-American poverty pimp and Obama used him to climb the social and political ladder in Chicago. He has the unique problem of being too black and not black enough. We are fucked, no matter which one of these three assholes gets elected.

Given that your criticism of Obama seems to be primarily based on the rhetoric of someone else, rhetoric which was addressed and denounced by the candidate in question, in what is bound to go down as a historically important speech, I will say... yes, a distraction.

I would certainly understand if you disagreed with his positions on issues. But, my friend, you seem to be falling for the media's effort to sell papers and get ratings. Is this really the best they can dig up on Obama? They found much juicer stuff, if equally irrelevant, on GW Bush!

And there is no need to imagine what it would be like if the shoe was on the other foot, when the media seems to be totally ignoring the SOUGHT OUT endorsement of John McCain by Rev. Rod Parsley, HIS "spiritual guide." - a man who compares fellow Americans with opposing viewpoints to Nazis, and the media says NOTHING.

I'm very sorry to see that you aren't happy with any of the choices for Presidential candidates. But I maintain that ANY of them would be infinitely better than the leadership we endured for the past eight years. I agree that we are "fucked" with no matter who takes office, as whoever it is will have a hell of a mess to clean up, and probably won't get it done in four years. But I believe that Obama has the potential to be the greatest leader of our country that I've seen in my lifetime.
