Comments: A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Doctor

If I had a foot fetish, I would be completely cured of my deviancy by reading your blog. Why don't you go into greater detail and describe how blood and pus ooze daily out of your toes' nail base?

Wait.

You mean I didn't post on that yet? I thought I did... Dammit. I'm slacking... ;-)

Pictures. What y'all need are pictures...

BTW, the oozing stopped the day after I went to see the doc and he informed me it looked like I had 'stubbed it'. Heh.

I think you need a nice comfortable pair of sandals.

I have to say the bit that caught my attention was:

"He pressed around, said some things were out of place..."

Out of place? LOL. I don't know why that strikes me as funny, but I find it funnier than running with a stress fracture. *grin*

It funny because after mile 26 the world is a happier place.

it's funny because you completed your marathon.
it would be very not funny if your race was still on the horizon.

my second toe on my left foot continues to be purple. but it doesn't hurt.

Is it like pealing back the layers of an onion? You have onion feet!

Also, you were disappointed that you did not have a fracture like your friend. Now you can say you tolerated it longer.

Amy- Exactly. Before I just said, "No, I can't walk. Don't know why. My feet are just swollen" and I felt like such a wuss! Now I can say, 'Yeah, fractured my left foot... I can't walk, my feet are swollen."

I needed that reason to be something other than it was. I felt like a wimp.

BTW, when I told her last night when I saw her, she gave me a high five. Heh.
