Comments: What Color Carpet is at These Award Ceremonies?

I sense something; a presence I've not felt since... The Force is strong with this one.

P*ssies. Let them know the place was in the upper 30's when we got up for TAS.

Bob- If you ask my boys, the presence is the Force of the Dark Side. They are the guys in the white hats and I'm the one wearing the black one.

TN- Our house was in the 30s? I think I remember blowing smoke in the house... the space heaters... the big frickin' rat.

56 you say? That's like a heatwave in Michigan. It's been mostly below zero since December, and this weekend it got up to 40. Everywhere I looked today, every one was wearing short sleeves and shorts. I myself wore flip flops in addition to only shorts and a shirt, but then I've been known to go barefoot in 3 feet of snow to class on campus.

My kids love to play outdoors when its in the 50s... but inside the house, they just hate it that cold.

When we stayed at my Grandparent's in Arkansas for Christmas, they only had a wood stove in the main area. All the rest of doors were shut.

It was cold enough to see your breath in the room. I would get in bed and make a warm spot and stay. If I rolled over to a cold spot, I instantly moved back. And I would make sure to pee good before going to bed so I would not have to get up at night.

Amy: Kinda like my great grandma's house. She actually eschewed indoor plumbing and is one of the few people I know who used an outhouse. In the winter frost formed on the seat. In the summer, wasps liked to hang out there. It wasn't the kind of place you would dawdle.

It is suppose to be a heatwave in Michigan this week, near 40 all week.

We are rejoicing!

I actually was wearing just a long sleeve t-shirt in the house this weekend. With the sun coming through the windows it got up to 71 in the house.
