Comments: Skiing Day 2

Wait til they are doing black diamonds- you'll become an expert skier. It's amazing what you can do when you can't send the sons off by themselves.
If all else fails- pay a hot dogger teen to take them down one tough trail while you wait at the junction. The sons will be obedient to anything with the hope of one crud run, the teen will be vigilant & attentive to them to pick up a couple fins, and the bonus is- you get to film them coming down the bumps.
Ain't life grand?:)

Sucks that your hubby is sick on vacation. Hope he's able at some point to join you and the boys for some of the fun.

Anfa- If we come again, I suspect they'll be at that level. And you're right, I can pay someone ot take them down! I'm very in touch with my mortality... ;-)

VW- They have never slept so well...

Dave- It does suck. He's going to catch up on a lesson this morning and then we'll all go out together tomorrow. I got him a good decongestant at the grocery store and he's getting better just enough that its taking an edge off.

I want him to enjoy this because... we paid for this trip in advance, in installments, and we'd not have come if we hadn't due to the economy. (And we used ff points for our flights.) I want to come back and if we save for the next 3-4 years we might be able to... so I want him to have fun so if I start putting little bits of cash away here and there, he's game.

Welcome to the Yampa River Valley! Steamboat is fine town and Mt. Werner a delight to ski.

Picked a dang good time to come. Plenty of snow storms all along the Rockies have left a legacy of steep'n'deep champagne powder.

DW....over at SondraK suggested I check in and read your blog. Glad I did. Welcome to Colorado!
Hope your hubby isn't suffering from altitude sickness.

Oh it is BEAUTIFUL here and the folks are so nice.

You are right, lots of snow storms and today we snowmobiled in one. THAT was interesting. Clear as a bell when we left and then BLAM, it was crazy snowy.

Its not altitude sickness, thankfully. Its just a nasty nasty cold. He works with the general public a lot and I think he caught it at work... it just kicked in here.
