***they won't put him in Honors Biology unless he's taking Honors Geometry***

WTF is that about? What does one have to do with the other?

QW- I am seriously thinking about that. I'm thinking of at least covering the first semester or next summer, before Alg II, doing a re-teach, so its all back fresh in his head.

TN- This is the deal as best I can figure it out... the Catholic School has something called an IB program, like they have at PHS. To qualify for the IB program, you have to have had certain classes.

For instance, when I asked to take him down to Honors Spanish I instead of Honors Spanish II, I got a call from the head of the Language Dept, telling me if he wanted to go IB, he MUST be in Honors Spanish II. I told her 'thanks, but no thanks, we aren't interested...' and she aquiesced to my request.

So I know that the kids on the IB tract have to have Honors classes and they may be keeping Honors Geometry and Honors Biology hand in hand for the potential IB students... of which my son IS NOT one.

I'd like him to enjoy HS. He can take plenty of AP classes and Honors classes, be well rounded with Scouting and Band, and get into a good school if he gets good grades.
