Comments: When A Case Lasts a Lifetime

This probably falls in the category of "Too Much Information," but years ago, there was a new "feminine product" that was being tested in my area. It was sort of a cross between a tampon and a pad.

Anywayyyy, it was a great product and I bought it regularly. When I couldn't find it in the stores anymore, I ordered it direct from the company. When I found out the company was going out of business, I calculated how many boxes I would need to get me through to menopause....and I ordered just that many cases of it!

Amazingly, I calculated just about right. I have just run out of those things, and I am now in peri~menopause!

My husband, though he has yet to buy a case of anything, has that mentality. If I hear 'the last *fill in the blank* I'll have to buy...' one more time I'll scream.
It's logical yet macabre and he's not that freaking old!

So, yeah. I can relate. ;)

Reminds me of the episode of Seinfeld when Elaine did a hard target search of all the pharmacies in the area for the Sponge because they took it off the market and she bought the entire stock in the NYC area.

I was gonna do that with toilet paper but daily delivery of my newspaper, The Fresno Bee, takes care of all that.

Hey, I bought 2-3 bottles of Herbal Essence Conditioner back in the 80's when they took it off the market.

Now its back on the market, reformulated of course.

My sister-in-law introduced me to Lipton Cold Brew iced tea bags. Awesome things. Tastes better than instant or sun tea, IMHO, but work in cold water. Can't find them anywhere around here, so I think maybe it's a regional thing. So, I requested them for my birthday ... and now I have a cache, which I am savoring. Just as well I am forced to pace myself in consuming them, since I found out tea can promote kidney stone formation.
