Okay- when I was there visiting, I stayed at the Sheraton Waterside. On the boardwalk side of the Sheraton (which should only be a few blocks from where you are) there is a 'boat ferry' will take you across to Portsmouth.

I highly recommend the $2 boat ride to Portsmouth if you have any free time at all...the art galleries, little shops and churches are fantastic.

Matter of fact, there is an old church -the one I blogged about- over in Portsmouth. They gave Hippie and I slate tile from the roof (they were remodeling). The church is from the 15 or 1600's and is fantastic...complete with creepy cool graveyard!

And the people? OMG they are so friendly!

Go- do it- you will be glad you did!

Wonderful! I'm so glad you like it because that means you'll be able to relax while you're there. I'm so glad!

Yeah the luggage thing really sucks. That's why I like flying Southwest because they don't charge extra for luggage.

Heh. I'm a crip. I get to preboard. I never have problems finding overhead space. People love to travel with me because they have to "help" me with my stuff. Plus I get to cut the line at security.

How did this "checked baggage extra" crap get started? Was that a reaction to when gas was $5 a gallon & jet fuel was proportionately high?
