Comments: Who Needs Friends?!

If not you, who, Bou?

You are the math goddess. If I were VW, I would have done the same... And we know you love a challenge, so dusting off the calculus is just up your alley...

jck- I am fighting the bile from rising in my throat! I told her, "GREAT! What in the hell are they studying?" She is scanning in the docs she got from the girl. I have 24 hours to get my mathematical crap together...

Fortunately, she said first degree derivatives. Unfortunately she said she personally made it through two problems. Fortunately VW is sick as a dog and cannot think. Unfortunately, VW is also brilliant so if she is stuck when she is sick, I could be stuck when I am well.

I'm the prayer warrior tonight. Tomorrow I'll be the study warrior...

It will come back, Bou :)

I managed to kick start my atrophied brain, so I know you can too. I was ok with first-year calculus, since they offer it at the high school and I get the occasional student with a question, but then an old student came and asked me to help with some material beyond that (surface integrals and line integrals)and I had to really stretch .. and wasn't much help at all. And now that I am back up to some semblance of speed, I know I won't have another question along those lines for the next 25 years! It was kind of a nice change of pace, though. :)

of course the scanner is giving me problems this morning. You can do this. Heck you did great in partial diff-e with me!!! I had the headache from h.ll last night. It is hard to relearn math when you can't think. And I am NOT use to headaches. I don't get them but once every couple of years.

VW- Partial DE was EASY. I could have taught that class... I don't know if this will be so much...

Peggy- I can tutor Calc I. I know I can, I just need time. These kids start pressing into Cal II and III and we're seriously stretching it. We move into ODE, and I'm toast...
