Comments: Christmas Thoughts...

Sounds like it was a great Christmas. Although neither I nor Mrs. Parkway is possessed of a drop of Italian blood, I think I'd like one of those kitchen cocks.

Even though our last name is of Italian origin, there is not enough room to swing a cock in our kitchen. So, fortunately, no one gifted us with one!

Dittos on the Christmas nap. Unfortunately I overslept and so dinner was late, late, late. Everyone is now very full and sleepy. BTW, did Bones get any vomit? Just checking.

I trust someone pulled up the youtube SNL video for dick in a box?

I think I'd be intimidated to enter someone's kitchen and find an enormous cock on display

There's an upside to having the kids grown and on their own. No, it's not "peace and quiet"; it's grandkids.

BTW -- On the subject of non-functional appliances, our garage door opener is on the fritz. We'd have had it fixed by now, but we decided it would be better to pay our property taxes instead. (The one curse of having no mortgage is having to come up with that chunk of change right after Christmas every year.)

Yes- Elf really is that funny! it's my favorite Christmas movie.
Don't even think about getting us a Kitchen Cock. I think our pig tea pot covers our kitchen farm animal quota.

Hahahahaha - a Christmas cock! LOL That's the best thing I have heard in a long while... :)

WE had a very sedate and scaled back Christmas here too. With me going back to work damn near full time I slid downhill into christmas with no brakes. Still tried to get everything done that I *usually* get done - and it was VERY stressful. May have to re-think that... All in all though Christmas day was most restful. Thank heavens.

I wish you and yours all the best in 2010. Happy New Year! :)

We are hoping our fridge will last until a cash for appliances comes out. It's really on it's last legs.

One day the ice cream is soft, the next it's hard. From what I have read it should be happening in the next couple months. Although each state has their own going on from stimulus money, but unfortunately in Michigan their rules state you can only make something like 40k/year to get rebate right now. Each state got to make their own rules for the stimulus cash for appliances program running now.

And a scaled back christmas couldn't even begin to discribe our christmas this year. Gads it sucks being unemployed.
