The pivotal battle of said war was fought in 1759 in Canada before Quebec City when the British forces under Wolfe met the French forces under Montcalm. Noble warriors both.
Not particularly a large battle for the times but a savage one none the less evidenced by the fact that neither General(Wolfe and Montcalm) survived the conflict. The Brits prevail, Quebec fell, and from then on the French were fighting a holding action.
For some reason I've always found it strange that a battle that changed the world was fought on a field known as "The Plains of Abraham."

Not dead just buried in crap. My blog experience wasn't worth it but an excuse to go treasure hunting in some old archives is a great reason for a sick day.
