Comments: Shooting, Curing, Honoring and Sneetching

I've got every appendage crossed for Bones. I know you'll deal with it if he doesn't get in, but oh I am praying hard for you both.

I hope he gets in, Bou!!! From your description, he sounds like Snoopy, dancing in his own world :)

Love the note, too. Does he get migraines, by any chance? Our youngest son does, and they can be miserable. He always wants us to be quiet and leave him alone when he gets them. Just wondering.

Teresa- The mail should tell us today. I am so praying. I want this to work... I so want this to work for him and for us.

Peggy- He does not get migraines. He's having an eye issue due to pollen and as I say to him, "He's got a case of the blinkies" which is unfortunately becoming a habit now. So I have some drops we use that is helping, but it's really really bad this year, the allergies.

My eldest appears to be becoming prone to migraines. I'm waiting. I get them so I figure one of my kids would probably inherit the tendancy, but so far, only Ringo gravitates to a quiet dark room with advil and sleep for 12 straight hours. We'll see...

Keeping fingers and toes crossed for Bones.

I think Ringo may go Military and become a navy medic. Just a thought.

As for Ringo - you all would rather borrow a snake than a turtle? A SNAKE???? Bless you for that.

We were at Scouts, I turned in his Merit Badge paperwork and the Scout advisor said, "Bou, you do know he has to keep a reptile or amphibian for 30 days, right?" What was I going to say then, no? I mean, this is SCOUTING. He's supposed to be learning. So I couldn't very well say, "Oh, crap, Cross that out. I can't have a snake in my house, and I don't want anything with a heartbeat that needs care..."

When seriously, inside, there was a voice nobody else could hear screaming, "NOOOOO!" My reflection in the mirror probably looked like that famous painting, 'The Scream'.

And of course I'm cataloguing all this so one day when they have kids and they tell me they don't have time to do a, b, or c or there is no way they're letting their kid do x, y, or z, I can say, "Don' I let you skate in my home, we raised hamsters, we did an infinite number of science projects, I took you camping (ALONE!) and learned how to set up a tent, I've been hiking with you, and I've had rock bands in my garage. I've schlepped you to music lessons, singing lessons, and drama lessons. We've been in every possible sport from soccer to baseball to everything in between. I've played ridiculous games, been some lead singer in an awful video game called guitar hero, and crawled out from under my rock to sit down and watch an awful show with you called American Idol. Suck it up, Bucko!"

I've checked the mailbox three times. Could I be obsessing?

Fabulous! I should tell you though, that I am also cool and awesome! I am...please let Bones know that he is not alone. As for the singing and full on dancing? The Boy does that as well. The other day I caught him in the shower singing Greased Lightning and doing the arm dances while shaking his little nekkid butt...I love being the mom to a boy.

I am so happy for you and most especially for Bones! I am humming the theme song from the old TV series Fame....picturing Bones in a school full of other creative spirits....this is so exciting!

PS: Please post pics of the snake, when you get it.
