I wish you and your family the best. I am always eager to read your posts, but hold my breath for a bit when you post, hoping that it is good news.

There is a story in the Chicago Tribune tonight about a baby girl born at 23 weeks who is getting stronger every day and just got to go home.

I hope that your daughter continues to do well.

So tiny, and so lovely.

Grow, little girl, grow!

My Irish grandmother used to tell me that when babies smile and giggle in their sleep they're remembering they're pre-birth existence in heaven where the angels passed them around from lap to lap and kissed them and tickled them and told them how pretty they were. (She had a very fanciful imagination).

Keep getting stronger, pretty baby!

Kirstin, I like that little bit of imaginative interpretation. I think I'll share that with my wife.

God bless her.

She is adorable! I wish you and your family the best.

My daughter was born at 24 weeks, weighing 860 grams. She is now a brilliant, happy, beautiful 16 year old girl with NO major issues.

I remember vividly those early days - the ups and downs, the gripping fear, the constant what-if's. Hold on, and think of your future bliss. It comes.
