Comments: Pie.

Two days? With your three boys? Not a chance.

This made me think of the 'pie' scene in "When Harry Met Sally", lol!

Day and a half. Tops.

An apple a day... Personally, I'm with Ringo.

That Ringo is a smart man.

I agree with Ringo too.

I saw a recipe for what to do with leftover pie dough. "Leftover" dough? Never heard of it. If you have more dough, you make more pies. Simple.

Pie also makes a nice early morning (2-3am ish) snack. It happens regularly in our house.

Found your blog via a link on what appears to be abandoned log (long story, not interesting). I'm enjoying your posts. I'll be back for more!!

Leftovers of anything with boys in the house??? There are leftovers? Good heavens. LOL.

Your son is correct. There is no such thing as too much pie. If you think there may be, just take it to work with you and see what happens.

There is also no such thing as too many Peggys. ;)

I like pie. Back in the days before storebought pie crusts my momma would roll up the dough scraps and pour a cinnamon-butter (or margarine, depending on that month's financial situation) sugar and other spices concoction over the rolled up dough scraps and make cinnamon rolls.

It's been around forty-five years since then and I still miss those cinnamon rolls. My Linda Lou makes great ones, not very often any more since it's just the two of us. They aren't the same, though.

Remind your boys of one simple truth: no matter how old they get, no matter how wonderful their wives are, there are some things you do that they will miss when they're as old as TGOO.

Peter - My mom would always take the pie dough scraps and roll them out thin, dot them with butter, and sprinkle them with cinnamon and sugar, cut it into strips and bake it. She called them "pastry cookies". I do this for my boys, and sometimes make dough just for cookies, without making a pie at all.
