Comments: What's Good for the Gander... Is Not So Much for the Goose

My oldest drive a minivan, and he's 21, a senior in college. His friends used to make fun of him....until my son was the ONLY WAY for 7 guys to get somewhere at the same time.
Now, they want him to drive all the time and they pay him gas!

So they call him MOM, eh?
Get the minivan wrapped with "Buck's Gun Shop-free concealed weapons course", and see what your son's friends think of that; and you get gas money too.

I looked into that, and your vehicle has to be nice, in good condition, both inside and out.

Ya know, I drive a nice, immaculate engine red....two door....I wonder how much they WOULD pay? *lol*

"It's a functional tool. It's reliable, it does what it needs to do"

Spoken like a true engineer. When I was fixing office equipment for IBM that described my car. The backseat was full of parts, empty coffee cups, and other assorted trash. I also used it to deliver Where magazines on the weekends. We drove my girlfriend's car when we went out since she was ashamed of my car. I was happy when I got into the FE Division and my one account was McDonnell Douglas Automation. No work driving. I had bought my girlfriend's car by then.

Ohhhhh... advertising. I like that. Did you get the info?

Tell the boys, as my parents did, that they're welcome to drive as fancy a car as they can afford to buy and insure. Otherwise, quityerbitchin'.

I'm with you, a car is something to get you from Point A to Point B in. Comfort, cargo area and the fact that it's paid for come WAY before any style points.

Am in the middle of staff wage negotiations at work which apparently is occupying more of my subconcious than I thought as I just freaked out thinking you were saying you MAKE 190k a year but refuse to buy a new car until you are making 250k a year!!! *faints* LOL ... :)

Shoot. I can't imagine making that kind of cash. If I made 190K, I'd be like, "A car for everyone!! Whoo hooo!"

VW- Yeah, my car is not the kind they'd want. Too old. But it was a fleeting thought. I was thinking Park Avenue BBQ and they could dress my car as a big pig!

You can tell that none of you all work in the automotive industry.

A car isn't just a car or to get from point A to point B

A car is our livelyhood and they are treated and thought of as such.
