Comments: Adding Levity

Yeah, tell him to look at it like a military deployment and he's the chaplain.. McD's is perfect, and how much more memorable would that be!

Baw hahahahaha. I love it. Then again, I could see how it would make the kids actually stop and listen. It would be so out of the ordinary.

Take 'em to Jackson Square, in the French Quarter, for the pick-up bands who play every afternoon. The Cathedral-Basilica of St. Louis King of France is the oldest Catholic cathedral in continual use in the United States. The band always breaks for Mass, and it's a short walk. They will never forget it. The Juju Woman sings with the band when we're in NOLA.

Just a suggestion. It's safe.

I've seen it done in all sort of places.

Whereever two or three are gathered together ...

Love Yabu's suggestion. That is a beautiful church.

St. Louis Cathedral would work...St. Joseph's is on Airline, I believe, and is also a huge and beautiful old Church (my German grandmother was baptized there). There is a St. Patrick's that does a Latin Mass. There is an old, old one at the Ursuline Convent with stained glass windows so old that they are warping downward. There are plenty of churches in New Orleans, for goodness sake.

I think we're doing the St. Louis... I need to check.
