" 300K with your eyes closed!!" Ummmm, interesting thought I hope you don't explore! Unless one of the boys is driving, of course!

Happy Anniversary! Spending it with the boys...see, I knew I liked you from the start. It's all about family!

I read yesterday's post to my significant other/hubby/love o'my life (yeah, it's complicated) and he said, "Oh, that's one I want to read more often." You now have another follower.

Still in the "family way?" Holy crap, doesn't that mean you're pregnant? ;)

Happy Anniversary!! And great news about the car!

Thank you to all of you!

Erica- Well, yeah, but I'm not. Thank God. I don't know if I've ever posted on the 'Running of the Rope...'

Something happened after Bones was born. We just knew we had been blessed enough. Three was enough. I think he was about a year old and I said to my husband, "If I get pregnant again, you're going to find me hanging in the shower..." to which my husband replied, "Not if you don't find me hanging in the garage first..."

So I've named it, 'The Running of the Rope'.

It's cold up here in this part of the State. But it's crazy. This condo we have, is right on the frickin' beach. I guess we got a good deal because nobody actually stays here in November. All night long I could hear the ocean. It was crazy.

Being as detailed as you are about your car, I would say a transmission should not be the breaking point with this thing. Yes, it's on the expensive side, but not like something requiring a brand new engine. Seriously, figure out what it would cost to buy something else and what your monthly payments would be. Then anything less than that per year is doable. An automatic tranny in your minivan may be even less than $2K if you ever have to do it.

I had to get the transmission in my Audi A4 replaced... it's a manual! The bearings went bad or something. But I love this little car and I'd like to keep it a while longer. I only have 136K on it. So unless there's a really compellingly bad problem, we just keep fixing it. It still drives great and I love it.

Happy Happy Anniversary!

That's what the mech said. He said if it comes down to it, he can probably get me a new transmission for a couple thousand. I just need the car to last three more years. I have to get Bones driving. So if that means we have to spend a some cash to eek us through, I will.

I absolutely do not want another family car. In my spare time, I sometimes search through various dealerships to see what they have on the market. There are some really fun little cars out there right now...

Happy Belated Anniversary. Been busy with my mom and forgot!

Do what I plan to do starting January. Find out exactly how much payments would be on the new car you want, then every month put that amount in a savings account. If you miss a payment, big deal, but when your van dies, you have a good down payment.

We used to go to Amelia Island for Easter when my dad was stationed in Brunswick. But enjoy your family'll be scattered before you know it.

And we have so loved getting our's a well-deserved 'adult' reward.
