Comments: Conversations That Make you go *Blink*

honestly, when i was a senior in high school, we avoided that conversation like the plague. *everyone* else seemed to be asking us where we were planning to go to college / what we were planning to choose as a major. avoiding it when hanging out as a group of friends actually let us relax for a short while. (granted, someone might mention it in relation to a scholarship they just won at Specific College, but that was the extent of it.)

That may be the case. I was just kind of surprised that he truly had no idea where this girl was going... but he probably doesn't care. At all. He only cares where his work out buddy is going. Afterall, that's how you pick your college.

LOL - yep you have boys. That would be the answer I would have gotten from my son. I'm not sure they talk at all... or if they do what they talk about. It's amazing how they never seem to know anything.

The yes/no question is: "Are you going to college?" The rest is personal/political.

Back in High School I knew where 'real close friends" would be going to school (mostly), but other people I was in class with ... not so much.

It has been interesting to find out (at recent reunions) the colleges everybody ended up at. In some cases, I still don't know.

It's not like anyone was going to end up at Ha-vard, Yale, or any of the other Ivies.

And I didn't end up at Cal Poly, CalTech, or Stanford for that matter, either. Couldn't afford it.

Who people are, what they do, and how they act is much more important.
