It is pretty hypocritical that they demonize Card (who is a great writer) but praise Polanski even though he raped a 13 year-old girl. I remember all the Hollywood idiots who came to his defense when he was briefly detained a few years ago, acting as though he hadn't done anything wrong and was the victim in the whole thing.
And the "offended" people can boycott Ender's Game all they wish, but they're in the minority and beyond social media, they don't have much impact. I predict the movie will do well in the box office no matter what perpetually aggrieved online "activists" say. I still plan on seeing the movie.
Card's an overrated writer, especially with his later books, while Polanski seems like somebody who needs heavy medication badly while being held in a max-security prison.
