Some moonbat over at Salon.com wrote an article in which he advocated a Stalin-like purge of those with views similar to Eich's. I kid you not. So much for that progressive "tolerance."
I too am for traditional marriage, for civil unions and hold anti-discriminatory views against gays and lesbians. I don't care who sleeps with who. But apparently that's not enough for progressives (I got called a "bigot" by my sister for expressing such views a while back). You have to agree 100% with these moonbats or otherwise you must be "purged." Like you said at Doug's blog, it's 21st century McCarthyism. It's disgusting.
I could care less, personally, whether gays "marry" or are in "civil unions;" the point is that they get equal protection. But they're obsessed with the term "marriage," and make the ludicrous claim that without it they are 2nd class citizens.
Are men different from women? I think so. 'Nuff said.
Indeed... I'm all for equal protection and think it's beyond ridiculous that they think they'd be second-class citizens if their union isn't defined as "marriage."
They are indeed different, contrary to what radical college professors say.
