Comments: T and the Girls

Susan may dislike you, but our family would love you! The one-liners are the best. Fortunately our son-in-law's family is similar in that way, so when we get together it is a lot of fun. :)

Are you implying that your father is Elisson and that you are the Mistress of Sarcasm?

I don't think so.

Then too there are times in meetings when people ask whether I am pulling their leg when I tell people that stupid stuff is a Great Idea.

I was on a telecon I had to run for the first time, today. The guys are dead, I mean DEAD on the line. It's me running through it all and I get pretty much nothing, which tells me they are probably playing with their phones or something.

So we got a new guy today and I said, "Hey, welcome to this lively bunch..."

I laughed. Nobody said anything, which *I* thought was perfect.

After about five minutes of me talking and cajoling, he finally pipes in and says, "I thought you said this was a lively bunch..." He was serious. I had to say, "umm... I was being sarcastic."

BTW, Ellison is old enough to be a big bro. :)

My family is fluent in sarcasm. We have a great time when we get together. It is non-stop picking and laughing. I lot of people just don't "get us".

At teacher's college they made a big huge deal about how sarcasm was NEVER appropriate and no teacher should EVER use sarcasm, and blah, blah, blah. I use it all the time and the kids eat it up. You do have to be careful though because anyone not used to it sometimes takes it seriously.
