I always thought it was pretty amazing how the Left will clutch their pearls over Team Bush water-boarding terrorists (such as the mastermind behind 9/11), but they couldn't muster up even tepid criticism of Obama for wanting to be able to use drones on American soil. The Left was more critical of Rand Paul complaining about it. But no surprise there, as liberals are more critical of the water-boarding concept than of terrorists cutting people's heads off.
It's also rather remarkable that the Left routinely engages in "We feel this is true, so it must be true," but they scoff at statements like "Enhanced interrogation techniques prevented terrorist attacks." Unlike the UVa rape story or what Lena Dunham claimed, there are actually facts and data to back up such a statement.
Thanks for writing this, and for reading the DL website so I don't have to -- those people are *insane*, and not just about your OP's subject. One of their past commenters, 'kavips', has gone even further off the deep end on their personal blog, advocating the *murder* of those he/she disagrees with:
"Like everyone in the world who doesn’t watch Fox News, I feel all white racists in Missouri should all be killed."
I don't know if I want to respond directly on that blog to their kind of crazy myself, but this seems to "cross a line" for me in terms of incitement. Hasn't been the first time. Huh?!?
Wow, that Kavips is bats*** insane.
