Comments: The All-New, All-Different Avengers

Normally, when I don't buy a book, I just don't do anything. In this case, I'm tempted to write to Marvel to say, "I'd buy your book, but Mark Waid told me not to."

As for the comments at the link, wow, what a bunch of whiners. If they like the eventual comic, fine; that's their right. But it's kinda pathetic that they're so obsessed with what you, I, or other critics might say about this stunt. That's a pretty brazen acknowledgment that they're worried this will (like so much of Marvel's output) suck. Considering Mark Waid's record over the last 10 years or so, that's a pretty justified fear, actually.

By the by, if I had an account for posting over there, I'd ask why the champions of diversity are okay with a white guy writing the book or why the big two companies have only slightly more diversity than MSNBC. ;)

Why are there kids on the Avengers? Have there been before? It's a little weird to have all these mature, responsible adults working with overemotional angsters who could get them killed.
