Comments: Macaroni Grill is better

In Buffalo we don't have a macaroni grill...that I know of? Olive Garden serves that *chain Italian* craving...I admit I haven't been there in a while, but I LOVE the Zuppa Toscana soup...LOVE it with breadsticks...mmmm. Salivating...and this is why I end up going there at all. If I want good italian, I choose one of the many indies in town. So many options! I generally banished all those chains a few years ago, Applebees, Fridays.

Now I want that soup...

Being second generation Italian, and growing up with all the food that comes with that, I am shunned by my family for enjoying the Olive Garden. No, the food isn't authentic Italian (not by any means). And sure, the advertisements are offensive. But that doesn’t change the fact that the food is good. I put OG roughly on par with places like CoCo’s and Marie Calendars- not great, but good for the not-as-fast foot joints.

Oh, I would bet the OGs are better here. I don't know why ours would be better, but I've honestly never heard any complaints from people who live around here. I only hear people joke about OG on TV and on blogs belonging to people who don't live around here. I wonder why that is? Anyway, we don't have Macaroni Grills around here. We're lucky we even have OG!

Hear, hear. Although it's spelled "falutin'", I believe.
