Comments: Paging Dr. Thackquab

Wow. Here I always thought my wife being upset the doctor couldn't see her on the same day she got sick was as strange as her habit of expecting a doctor to actually care about her. I'll be darned.

Generally if you're infectious there's not much problem getting in on the same day has been my experience. Now trying to get a specialist.. I tried to get a dermatoligist appointment for my daughter, and ALL of them were booked at least 3 months in advance...

Ah...the advantages of having your family doctor live down the block and be a close friend. Never a wait. Don't mind getting called on the mobile phone. Don't mind you coming over at 2 am with a bleeding child.

OT: Kin and Heather, need your input about the Hockey Whoopass Jamboree.

On topic: The ladies' GYN suddenly retired a couple of months ago (terminal cancer), and our family doctor of many years was bought by the local hospital and then shut down, trying to drive more business to it's own clinics. We've since found a new GP who seems pretty good.
