That may be true, but you're missing out on horrible food, unsanitary bathrooms, random fire alarms, broken washing machines, complete lack of privacy, unreliable Internet access, beeping trucks in the loading dock at 1 AM, drunken frat parties next door...

Oh, wait...crap.

move into one of the singles, if they have them at SU. They are REALLY freakin' nice after having roomates, and I liked my roomie.

I'm going to try for a single next year, but there are only about 530 of them on campus (FYI, SU has over 10,000 students), and a few are in crappy buildings that nobody wants to live in (I already had an open double in one of the crappy buildings, and I don't want to go back there for any reason).

Plus, it's really, really, really hard to get a single unless you have a good number. I'll have junior standing next semester, which means I'll get a lower (and therefore better) number, but it's ridiculously hard to get a single in a good building if you're not a senior.

In any case, it still won't change the fact that I live with chimps. I like the roommate I have right now. It's just all the other people on the floor who make me want to do violent things to them.

...Well, all of them except my RA. He's a fellow TRF major, and he has a Bush/Cheney sticker on his door, so he's cool.

Well, admittedly, I am missing out on some of the social experiences. I've made 2 real friends here at college, and obviously lost a bunch since high school. At least they're quality people, but I still feel like I'm missing out sometimes.

In my experience, living on campus doesn't help you make friends. I'm more comfortable around people from the drumline than I am with the people in my dorm.

...On the other hand, not everyone is as antisocial as me, so draw your own conclusions.

I think they realized that if they act like Howard Dean, they could run for President...
