Comments: Did YOU Know?

NOTICE: Trolls and people who leave fake e-mail addresses will have their words manipulated for the amusement of others.

Granted what you have listed here is positive, that does not change the fact that the majority of Iraqis do not want the US occupying their country.

And I'm sure they'd much rather have the Saddamster back. Take your troll droppings elsewhere.

...the majority of Iraqis do not want the US occupying their country.

Out of a poll of three Iraqis, two said they didn't want the Americans there. They were both Ba'athists. Margin of error for this poll is ±100%.

James,
I must say that I am astonished by that lack of seriousness in your comment. And mean, is it meant as a sort of spoof of the left...well maybe I'm not so astonished after all. But do you wish to debate this. I will agree with you. Iraq does not want US or any other foreign country to have troops hanging around on the streets for the next 40 years. But that isn't going to happen. Furthermore, the polls show the IRAQIS NOW THIS!!! The Iraqis WANT US TO STAY UNTIL 1. The insurgency is defeated and/or 2. The Iraqis themselves can deal with what remains to be dealt with. The polls show this (there are several. If you wish to demand I provide the exact linkage, ask me in the commments, right now I'm tired).

And we really aren't "occupying" the country. I'm getting tired of that. We are there with the permission of a sovereign gov't that can ask us to leave. HOW DARE THEY NOT!!! THEY SHOULD DEMAND TO BE OVERTHROWN AND MURDERED BY BATHIST THUGS!!! Is it absurd to think the Iraqi people would want to wait a year or two until they were ready to take over the security situation? Come on!

Look...I need to be honest. I am getting tired of this crap. Now we have Iraqi elections and the media are complaining they are NOT FAIR because the Sunnis didn't vote in the right percentages and it means it isn't legitimate. Kinda like how Whites in South Africa and Nazis in post-war Germany not voting enough made their elections a fraud. I mean, the first free election in Iraq in...who knows how long ISN'T FAIR because the people favored by the regime decided NOT TO VOTE!!!

Sorry. It's just that all perspective is being lost and facts have become lies all for political reasons. I have even heard from some that democracy and freedom aren't necessary that important in some situations in regards to Iraq (often, but not always in regards to stabilty. Sometimes democracy is seen as important, but not in the way we define it. Sometimes freedom is important but not in the way we define. At least traditionally in America. Uh...by me. And most reasonable people).

Blah...sorry to rant.

;)
