Comments: SF Babes Weekly Poll (Is There A Point To This?)

Wow, I'm torn -- I voted against each of them their first time around. By the way, have you considered the babes of Dune, both the movie and the two SciFi miniseries?

Vote Ardala, then. Each day until next Tuesday.

Dune is a great idea! I have the miniseries on DVD, so I can make screen caps if I can't find good pics easily on the Internet. The miniseries version of Chani was nowhere near as exotically good-looking as the mental image I had of her when I read the book.

I hated the David Lynch version, and I can't remember who the actresses were, but maybe they can count as the only redeeming qualities of that monstrosity of a screen adaptation.

Ardala all the way!

Still, Princess Leia ..... of course that's too obvious.

Oh, very funny! Touche, indeed.

Of course, you had to go with the KA version of Saavik..... LOL

What about the other Saavik?

There is no justice! How can Saavik be losing to a 1970s space princess other than Leia Organa? As for Dune, I have some vague memory of Virginia Madsen's Irulan being a bit of a looker. (Admittedly, any movie with Patrick Stewart and the guy who played Jeffrey Pelt can't be all bad, can it? On the other hand, the Bene Gesserit, on the basis of screenshots, could induce vomiting.)

Bleh. The only explanation I can think of is that the electorate is being influenced by what Kirstie Alley became, instead of what she was in 1982. C'mon! Saavik didn't wind up in the sack with Admiral Kirk, unlike Ardala and Captain Rogers. Doesn't chaste character (at least until Star Trek III) count for something?
