I'd follow your link to LaShawn's site, but she banned me. Why? because I left a one sentence comment saying I thought this bit she wrote (while she was saying women don't have the sensibility to be president) was a bit "egotistical."

"It's important for you to know that I don't care what you think. You're reading my blog so you obviously care what I think. So there it is."

I wasn't rude -- though I'm sure no one likes being told they are acting egotistical -- only that her comment sounded egotistical. She has mighty thin skin, that one.

LaShawn is frequently saying that she "doesn't care what you think." But the fact is, she definitely does, given how sensitive she is to criticism. Lately, she has also been quite egotistical, harping on her hit count, her standing in the TTLB Ecosystem, and going on about all the liberal bloggers who "hate her" but can't help themselves reading her. That and her ridiculous defense of Tom Tancredo are the main reasons I took her off my blogroll a couple of weeks ago.

It truly saddens me to listen to the rhetoric and the bitterness that is displayed on stage at these type of events.

I had planned to attend the event just to observe the general environment. When I listened to Jesse Jackson the day before on "Ed Gordon News and Notes" just straight up LIE I realized that I could better spend my time with my children rather than go down to this event and get angry.

Jesse said that the fact that people in GA who don't have a photo ID office in their county and have to drive to another county to get one could be said to have a POLL TAX imposed upon them. I stared at the radio, open mouth at this one. I have to drive 15 miles up the road to my state photo id place. Who is going to reimburse me the $2.29 to compensate me for my truck's fuel?

Secondly he said that while students at Georgia Tech are able to use their college ID's to vote, the Black students at the Atlanta University Center will be denied.

What he FAILED to mention is that there are more Black students at Georgia STATE, Albany STATE, Savannah STATE, Voldosta STATE, Fort Valley STATE and Clayton STATE that can use their IDs and the majority WHITE Emory University, Berry College and Agnes Scott, being private schools will suffer the same fate that he attempted to make into a racial issue.

Sad to say this but it is going to take some FUNERALS before the Black race can have a new set of leaders who are interested in SOLUTIONS and TRANSFORMATION rather than spouting IDEOLOGY.

Sounds like Belafonte's got a little of the Ali punch-drunk thang goin' on... He can't tell white people from black people anymore? He forgot that members of the presidential cabinet generally are interviewed rather than conducting the interviews?

poor baby...

BTW...why are people cross-talking about other people by way of blogs? If you don't want to follow a link or can't follow a link...keep it to the blogger personally or post it on your own site...don't act big and bold since you know that most bloggers are not going to stoop to your level and start sniping at you from a distance...they'll do it directly or not at all

can't we all just get along...

Actually they won't, PurpleMD. Or at least not the terminally insecure LaShawn Barber, who bans anyone who happens to disagree with her.
