Comments: And this is what passes for "news" among the wire services?

I've learned that UPI is supposedly owned by a Saudi Arabian consortium, which may explain this. I don't know if this true or not; worth checking out to verify this ownership.

This is popping up again? Geez, even if it is true, who cares? Either we found him in a hole, had a fierce battle in a small village or the f'ing Easter Bunny dropped him off in a basket stuffed with plastic grass. Who cares? He's in custody. End of story.

Now...far be it from me to be a cynnic, however given the track record of this administration on the TRUTH, it's fair game to question the account of the Saddam capture. Do you have such short memories about the Jessica Lynch rescue "production" and the cover-up regarding the friendly fire killing of Pat Tillman? I guess you all do.

It must be a warm and fuzzy feeling walking around in life believing EVERYTHING the Pentagon and this administration tells you.
