Comments: Crazy Pat says "Not assassinate, KIDNAP..."

And here I thought he meant 'take him out' on a date.

"...Apology notwithstanding, I still think Robertson is off his rocker, and he puts a bad mark both on Christianity and on conservative principles."

No worries. He cannot damage those damaged goods.

I won't suggest we kidnap Robertson but, some kind of intervention is needed.

I am not defending him. I dont agree with his politics. But you cant say that killing in defense of the nation is unchristian. This is a man friendly with iran and communist cuba. I dont say we shouldkill him because of the consequences. The hebew is thou shalt not MURDER. its absurd to say taht christians shold never engage in defenseive warfare. T

Well clarified shari.

As far as how to deal with Chavez, I don't have the answer. However, I think it's obvious that there's real potential for a problem there.

First of all, Chavez enjoys the approval of 70% of the Venezuealan population. Venezueala is a sovereign nation. The REAL reason right wingers and conservatives want to get rid of Chavez is because the Venezuealan OIL reserves are the largest in this Hemisphere, they're STATE OWNED, (no American oil companies) and he has this "silly" notion of using this oil to help his people, and those of other nations in Central and South America. And because there are no profit mad corporate vampires controlling that oil, a gallon of gas in Caracas, Venezeuala costs .12 cents.

As far as Jesus is concerned:

>>>"You have heard it said, 'An eye for an eye, a tooth for a tooth.' But I say to you, do not resist those who wrong you. If anyone slaps you on the right cheek, turn and offer him the other also…. You have heard it said, 'Love your neighbor and hate your enemy.' But I tell you, love your enemies and pray for your persecutors." (Matthew 5:38-39, 43-44; compare Luke 6:27-29.)

So which brand of "Christianity" are people who defend political assassinations and pre-emptive wars trying to sell?

Pat is right. Chavez is an enemy and a wicked man. Put him out. Why do you think we have spys and special ops people? To make nicey nice to Americas sworn enemies? As for Venezuela being a soveriegn nation, let the better nation win...
