Comments: The Best Toys

And his Aunt Mimi thinks she has the best "nephew" in the world too.

I remember a post Chris did about puzzles once.

That's one thing I would not give her kids as a gift!

My brother's daughter calls my sister "Aunt Mimi". Her name is Mindy. But it's so cute, it's not like anybody's going to correct her!

This Aunt Mimi's real name bears far less resemblance to "Mimi" than Mindy does, but it was the best The Boy could manage when he was 2 and the name has stuck even now that he can actually say her real name.

Hey, I totally can not find the post. The link is bad, and I have searched the Dot Moms for the post, but it's not there. What happened?

(Buying last-minute presents for my sister's three kids this morning...)

I don't know why it isn't there any more. The jist was to look for things that have stood the test of generations of kids. Blocks, Legos, pretend play stuff like dress up clothes or toy kitchenware, toy trains, etc. For my kids puzzles and riding toys, plus dolls, toy weapons. Things that require no batteries and I prefer wood, metal and cloth that doesn't snap the first time a kid bangs it around.
