Comments: New Recipes and Experimental Cookery

The Dear One and I have had a chance to eat at the Moosewood a couple of times while visiting relatives in upstate New York: it's really fabulous stuff.

In the original book, the recipe for lasagna, as well as for stuffed eggplant, are out of this world.

Mmm, a good eggplant recipe can be heavenly, though it typically relies more on the technique of eggplant preparation than just the proper mix of ingredients.

Enjoy the relative good fortune of having your youngsters eat what is in front of them (especially slima beans). It won't be too much longer before they start having contests to see who can hate the most foods.

While I have only one to worry about at the TaterBed, we can usually expect to hear "Eww, what's this?" to anything new or something on his do-not-like list. He seems to have more of a problem with textures rather than tastes.

Maybe you'll be lucky and the kidlets will have contests for who likes the most foods. Mm-hm, right.

I can send directions if you need to know how to get to my house!

I'm hungry now....
